In addition to the introduction of on-campus housing, a Campus Center of approximately 50,000 square feet will also open in July of 2011. The proposed project consists of a 50,000 square foot campus center on the main campus which will include dining and food service, bookstore/coffee shop, health center, student gathering spaces and a theater.
In May 2009, Eva Klein & Associates and Perkins Eastman completed a comprehensive Strategic Master Plan for the College of Coastal Georgia. An enrollment and space analysis was conducted as part of the Strategic Master Plan. The analysis illustrates space surpluses and deficits in various categories with the assumption that student enrollment would reach 3,000 students by 2010, leaving initial deficits of approximately 30,000 GSF to well over 400,000 GSF
