Restrictions on FSA and HSA Usage

Other changes which are effective due to Healthcare Reform are restrictions on the use of Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts. As of January 2011, certain non-prescription medication and over the counter medical products are not eligible for reimbursement with these accounts. Over the counter medication would be eligible if recommended by a provider in writing. More detailed information will be provided at a later date once received from the Board of Regents' office.
