The Fourteen Black Men of Glynn recently gave $10,000 to the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation to support the Coastal Georgia Minority Outreach Program.

The College of Coastal Georgia Foundation has received a generous contribution of $20,000 from GP Cellulose to support the growing academic programs and student activities on the campus. College president, Dr. Valerie A. Hepburn recently toured the plant, spoke with the Brunswick Cellulose leadership team about additional partnership opportunities, including internships and new academic programs in Health Informatics, Biological Science and Pre-Engineering.

GP Cellulose has been a great supporter of the College through the years and the recent gift of $12,500.00 represents another significant investment in the College. Through new academic programs and student activities, the College looks forward to enhancing support and impact for GP and our other community business partners.

Hites-Dinos Scholarship Builds the Future for Students

Amanda Moore has been selected as the first College of Coastal Georgia student to receive the Hites-Dinos Family Higher Education Challenge Grant Endowment Fund Scholarship. The Hites-Dinos Scholarship was established by the Hites Family Community College Scholarship Foundation and Coastal Georgia residents, Mary and Jack Dinos, who have been loyal and generous supporters of higher education programs across the state of Georgia for many years. The scholarship targets the best and brightest students completing their first two years at the College of Coastal Georgia to encourage them to complete their studies and engage in the education of future generations.
Hites-Dinos Scholarship Builds the Future for Students
Thanks to the generosity of College Builders, Mary and Jack Dinos, up to (5) five scholarships will be awarded annually to outstanding students who will be attending College of Coastal Georgia to complete their baccalaureate degree.

The Circle of Excellence Committee of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® presented the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation with $2,500 to support Student Scholarships
The Circle of Excellence Committee of the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS® presented the College of Coastal Georgia Foundation with $2,500 to support Student Scholarships. This is the first year that the Circle of Excellence has given this.

Bank of America Foundation made a $15,000.00 grant to fund the Coastal Georgia Minority Outreach Boys of Summer program Bank of America Foundation made a $15,000.00 grant to fund the Coastal Georgia Minority Outreach Boys of Summer program.

With costs of $50,000 annually this program has benefitted over 900 rising African American males for nearly two decades. Its success is solely dependent upon the generosity of private and corporate donors.
