Lance Turpin is the City Executive ofBB&T Bank; he started this position in 2001. Mr. Turpin is a Graduate of Georgia Southern University (1992) and since has held various positions within the banking industry. Mr. Turpin is extremely active in his surrounding community. Mr. Turpin is a founding member and is currently serving on the Advisory Board for Communities in Schools of Glynn, Inc. He also serves on the board of the local chapter of the Boy Scouts and is a former board member of the United Way of Glynn County. Mr. Turpin has also served two years on the Glynn County School Board. Mr. Turpin is a native of Lavonia, Georgia and now resides, since 2002, on St. Simon's Island with his wife, Robyn, and two daughters.
