Duane Harris owns Sea Georgia Adventures, a charter fishing and environmental consulting company. He holds a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer (100 ton Master) License, is a Certified Fisheries Scientist and NAUI Scuba Diving Instructor. He is past chairman of the St. Simons Land Trust and the YWCA of Brunswick Foundation, and serves on the Steering Committee of the Archway Partnership Project. Mr. Harris is a graduate of Colorado State University, Leadership Glynn, Leadership Georgia, and the Toll Fellowship Program. He is a member of the Environment and Energy Committee of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and he represents Georgia on the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, presently serving as chairman of that body. After a 33-year career with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Duane Harris retired in 2002.
